I now have two options for which people can use to connect to my channel on IRC, one is the use of a java client built into a website and the other is the instructions that I have had on the site in order to assist you in installing a client onto your computer. Click the following link to use the website client.
#eleventhwhisper.com
or....
Below are the 'destructions' on installing an IRC chat client onto your computer in order to chat in the channel. If you have any questions, then just email me or tell me that its not worth the trouble and I will walk you through it step by step. If you are using Linux or a MAC please contact me and I will do my best to instruct you in installing another program that will work for the same use.
1. First, download mIRC from this website: http://www.mirc.com/get.html , click on a link close to your location and save the program to disk, make sure you know where you saved it to so that you can run it in the next step.
2. Then, run the mIRC installer: (mIRC616.exe)

3. Click Next and then Yes through the obvious questions, the third question will ask you where to install it to and where you would like shortcuts made and whether or not you would like previous settings to be used, however, since this is the first time you will install mIRC, none of that will matter. Be sure and keep the default destination folder, this will be important later if you install a script or theme to make your IRC client more interesting.

4. Choose Install and then finish without launching mIRC.
You should now have either a shortcut on your desktop or a folder in your start menu. Open the program

5. Open options from the view menu.

6. In the first set of options type in the information that you wish for people to see online. This information does not have to be real and your nickname would be like a screename, it will be the name by which everyone knows you.

7. In the status window, type in the following command: /server irc.gtanet.com -j eleventhwhisper

8. That is all that really needs to be done, you will then be connected to my channel. If you wish you install a script in order to change the look and feel of your IRC client, feel free to ask for help in the forums. A good one to use is nns or no name script, it can be found at http://www.nnscript.de/ Again, this is not required and installation instructions are not on this website, however if you feel the need to spice things up in your client or just want something to toy with go ahead and be my guest.
